Steve Semler is a certified FocalPoint Business and Executive Coach in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
As a business coach Steve stops businesses from failing by teaching small business owners the importance of knowing their numbers. He uses AI-enabled business simulation software to help business owners find profit and cash flow opportunities "hidden" in their financials. As a leadership coach he blends training, coaching, and mental fitness principles to help leaders create productive, effective, and humane workplaces. Steve’s skill and experience combined with proven FocalPoint coaching resources gives leaders the insight, support, and results they need to become as strong in people leadership as they are in their technical specialties. This makes them better business leaders who can help their companies grow and achieve their goals.
Steve is an expert in human resources, leadership, management, and technology. With more than 30 years’ experience in leadership development across more than 60 companies including Honeywell, Medtronic, Rockwell Automation, Facebook, Mosaic, Schwan, and many others, he understands and supports technical leaders with research-supported solutions proven through real-world practice.
He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a degree in Psychology, Chapman University, where he earned a master's degree in Human Resource Management & Development, and is a doctoral candidate at the University of Minnesota. He has published research on a variety of business topics. Steve is a U.S. Army veteran and a published science-fiction and fantasy author with six novels on Amazon.
